Homeland Security NYS Hate Crimes Prevention Grant
$50,000 Per building for Private Schools and Museums
In late 2018 NYS Homeland Security introduced a new grant to provide exterior security equipment to prevent hate crimes in eligible non-profits. The grant was available to private schools and at-risk museums. Over $19 million in funding was made available. The grants were for up to $50,000 for each free standing building of an eligible organization with a maximum of $150,000 in funding per organization (3 buildings).
Evergreen Grant Writing wrote over 55 successful grants for this program and will be watching to see if the grant is offered again this year.
